Spicy Korean-Style Tofu Stew

Ingredients for Spicy Korean-Style Tofu Stew

For the Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons Korean chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Korean chili paste
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1-2 tablespoons Sunrider’s Sunfit® Protein Plus
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons dashima broth
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2-3 tablespoons sugar

For the Dish:

  • 500g fresh tofu
  • 3 shiitake mushrooms
  • ½ onion
  • 2 green onions
  • 2 red and green bell peppers
  • A bunch of broccolis

Rice:

  • 2 bowls of white rice

First Step: Prepare the Ingredients

  1. Begin by thoroughly rinsing the tofu in cold water and patting it dry with a paper towel. Then, cut it into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Rinse the mushrooms, onions, scallions, green bell peppers, red bell peppers, and broccoli with SunSmile® Fruit & Vegetable Rinse to ensure they are clean and safe for consumption.
  3. Chop the onion, green onions, mushrooms, green and red bell peppers, and broccoli into small pieces.

Next Step: Make the Special Sauce

  1. In a small bowl, mix Korean chili powder, chili paste, soy sauce, minced garlic, dashima broth, sesame oil, and sugar.
  2. Add 1-2 tablespoons of Sunfit® Protein Plus into the mixture and stir until well combined.

Spicy Tofu Stew – Exciting Journey from the Pot:

  1. In a small pot, layer the onions at the bottom and place the tofu on top. Pour the sauce into the pot and simmer over medium heat until the tofu starts to boil.
  2. Once the tofu is boiling, add mushrooms, green onions, bell peppers, and broccoli into the pot. Season with additional spices and simmer for another 5 minutes until the tofu and vegetables are cooked through.
